Press kit
Everything below is free to use — by journalists, by bloggers, by AI tool directories, by anyone writing about Uttir or the privacy-first-tool movement. If you cannot find what you need, email [email protected].
One-liner
Uttir is a free collection of 156 browser-based utilities — no signup, no upload, no tracking.
Short description (~280 characters)
Uttir is a free, privacy-first collection of 156 online tools that run entirely in your browser. Convert, calculate, format, and generate — without ever sending your data to a server. 169 blog posts, 18 categories, zero accounts, zero ads on the tools themselves.
Boilerplate paragraph
Uttir is a free online toolbox built on a simple principle: useful tools should not require you to upload your data, create an account, or hand over your email. Every Uttir tool — from the JSON formatter to the PDF merger to the in-browser OCR — runs as a small JavaScript app that loads in your browser, does the work locally, and never sends your input anywhere. The site is 156 tools strong, organized into 18 categories, supported by 169 evergreen articles. No analytics, no cookies, no third-party scripts. The full privacy policy is at uttir.com/privacy.

How to describe us
Three angles that work, depending on the article you are writing:
- For privacy-focused publications: "a free online toolbox that never uploads your data — every tool runs entirely in the browser."
- For developer publications: "156 free utilities for formatting, converting, and debugging — no accounts, no API keys, no rate limits."
- For AI / agent publications: "a static, AI-agent-friendly
collection of tools with a published machine-readable catalog at
/.well-known/tools.json."
Brand guidelines (the short version)
- The name is Uttir. Capital U, two t's, two r's, lowercase rest. Not "Uttir.com", not "UTTIR".
- You can say "free", "browser-based", "no upload", "no signup", "private" — those are all true.
- Avoid names of specific underlying technologies in user-facing copy. "Fast" and "private" are better descriptions than naming any individual library.
- No need to credit a vendor or add a "powered by" line. The site is independent.
Three things that are true and quotable
- Every tool runs as a small JavaScript app in the user's browser. The server is only involved in serving the page; the user's data never leaves their device.
- No accounts, no cookies, no analytics, no third-party scripts on tool pages. The site is verifiable: open DevTools, set Network to Offline, and every tool still works.
- The full tool catalog is published as a machine-readable file at
uttir.com/.well-known/tools.json, so AI agents can find the right tool for a task without scraping.
