## About

PDF to PNG rasterizes each page of your document into a lossless PNG image at the resolution you choose. Unlike JPG, PNG never introduces compression artifacts, which makes it the better choice for screenshots of text, diagrams, and anything with sharp edges.

Like every Uttir tool, rendering happens entirely on your device — the document is never uploaded, so private contracts and personal files stay private.

## How to use

1. **Choose the PDF** — Any multi-page document works.
2. **Pick a resolution** — Scale 2 is screen-sharp; 3–4 is print-quality.
3. **Download PNGs** — Every page arrives as an individual PNG file.

## FAQ

### PNG or JPG — which should I use?

PNG for text, diagrams, and screenshots (lossless, sharp edges). JPG for photos in scanned documents (much smaller files).

### Which resolution should I pick?

Scale 2 is twice the PDF point size — sharp on screens. Use 3 or 4 when the image will be printed or zoomed.

### Are multi-page PDFs supported?

Yes — every page is converted, and each page downloads as its own numbered PNG file.

### Why are the PNG files larger than the PDF?

PNG stores every pixel losslessly, while the PDF may keep text as compact vector data. If file size matters, PDF to JPG is the smaller option.
