## About

A tool for breaking analysis-paralysis on decisions where the options are roughly equal. Type two or more options, one per line, and the tool picks one with a fair random draw. The result cycles through the options briefly to show that the choice is not predetermined, then lands on a final answer.

This is a tiebreaker, not a substitute for judgment. If one option is clearly better, pick that one. The tool is for the cases where the analysis is going in circles and the answer does not actually matter — what to eat, which color to pick, which book to read next.

## How to use

1. **Type your options** — One option per line. Two minimum.
2. **Click "Decide for me"** — The tool cycles through the options briefly, then lands on a final answer.
3. **Use the answer (or roll again)** — If the answer does not feel right, click again. The draw is independent each time.

## Examples

### Where to eat

You cannot decide between three restaurants.

Input:

```
Pizza
Sushi
Tacos
```

Output:

```
A random pick. If you do not like the answer, click again — eventually you will get a choice that feels right (or you will realize the analysis is the problem, not the options).
```

### What to read next

You have three books on your nightstand.

Input:

```
The Pragmatic Programmer
A Philosophy of Software Design
The Mythical Man-Month
```

Output:

```
One of the three, picked at random. The draw is fair, so over time you will not be biased toward any one book.
```

## FAQ

### When should I use this tool?

Only when the options are roughly equal AND you have spent enough time analyzing that further analysis is not going to help. For any decision where one option is clearly better, pick that one. For decisions where the analysis is fresh, do the analysis. The tool is a tiebreaker, not a substitute.

### Is the answer really random?

Yes. The draw uses the browser's cryptographically-secure random number generator. The result is unpredictable until the moment it lands. You can verify by clicking many times and watching the distribution of picks across your options.

### Why does the tool cycle through the options first?

To make it visually clear that the choice is not predetermined. The cycling is a UI affordance — the actual pick happens at the end. If you do not like the answer, you can click again and the next pick is independent.

### How many options can I have?

There is no hard limit. Two is the minimum (anything less is not a decision). Twenty starts to feel unwieldy. For a genuinely useful decision, 2-5 options is the practical range.
