The break-even point is the sales volume at which your revenue exactly covers your costs — no profit, no loss. Everything beyond that point is profit.

## How to use

## FAQ

### What is the break-even formula?

Break-even units = fixed costs ÷ (price per unit − variable cost per unit). The denominator is your contribution margin per unit.

### What if my price is lower than variable cost?

Then every sale loses money and you can never break even. The calculator flags this so you can reprice before it becomes a problem.

### Does this include taxes?

No. It covers operating costs only. Taxes, interest, and one-off expenses can be added to your fixed costs for a more conservative number.
