## How to use

## FAQ

### Which barcode format should I use?

For retail products sold in most of the world: EAN-13 (13 digits) or EAN-8 (8 digits, smaller packages). For products sold in the US: UPC-A (12 digits). For internal inventory, shipping labels, or any alphanumeric data: Code 128. For automotive / defense / military: Code 39. For shipping cartons: ITF-14. The tool shows the format-specific rules below the input.

### Can I include letters?

Code 128 and Code 39 support full alphanumeric input (A-Z, 0-9, plus symbols). EAN and UPC are numeric only. Pick the format that matches your data; the tool will warn you if the input is invalid for the chosen format.

### Are these barcodes scanable?

Yes. JsBarcode produces standards-compliant barcodes that any retail or industrial scanner can read, including phone camera scanners. The output is a real barcode, not a stylized image.

### What is the difference between PNG and SVG?

PNG is a raster image (fixed pixel size). Use it for print, social media, and anywhere a bitmap is expected. SVG is a vector image (scales to any size without quality loss). Use it in design tools, web pages, and anywhere you need to scale the barcode without blur.

### Is the data uploaded?
